Hello, I'm Jayla Smith, a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with a passion for providing compassionate care and making a meaningful difference in people's lives. My journey in healthcare began at La Salle University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). For five years, I honed my skills as a registered nurse in a hospital setting, specializing in adult medical/surgical units focused on neurology, cardiology, and pulmonology. 

 

Driven by a desire to expand my knowledge and capabilities, I pursued further education at The University of Texas at Arlington, graduating with a Master of Science. This educational journey equipped me with the expertise needed to excel in my role as an FNP. 

 

I am thrilled to be a part of the Docs Outside the Box team, where I can leverage my skills and experience to provide comprehensive care to individuals and families. Whether it's managing chronic conditions, promoting wellness, or addressing acute healthcare needs, I am committed to being a trusted partner in each patient's healthcare journey. 

 

Outside of work, I'm a proud native of St. Petersburg, where I enjoy staying active by playing tennis and participating in CrossFit. Cooking is another passion of mine, and I love experimenting with new recipes and flavors. Whenever I have the opportunity, I enjoy spending time outdoors, simply enjoying nature's beauty.
